Introduction

Welcome to VideoDropper. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VideoDropper ("we", "us", or "our") governing your use of our website, web applications, and tools available at videodropper.app (collectively, the "Service").

Our Service provides web-based tools to parse and download publicly accessible Instagram media—including videos, reels, photos, multi-slide carousels, audio tracks, stories, and profile pictures—for personal, non-commercial archival use. We are firmly committed to respecting intellectual property rights, user privacy, and platform rules.

By accessing or using any part of our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and our companion Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must immediately cease accessing or using our platform.

1. Agreement to Terms

1.1 Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, inputting any URL, or utilizing any of our downloading tools, you explicitly agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. This agreement is effective immediately upon your first interaction with the Service and remains valid throughout your use. If you are using the Service on behalf of an entity or organization, you represent that you possess legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

1.2 Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to amend, update, or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Any modifications will become effective immediately upon posting to this page with an updated revision date. Your continued access to the Service following posted revisions constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage users to periodically review this page to stay informed of our policies.

1.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age, or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction to consent to online services, to use VideoDropper. If you are under 18 years of age, you must possess authorization from a parent or legal guardian. By utilizing our Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility criteria.

2. Acceptable Use and User Responsibilities

Users must employ our Service conscientiously, ethically, and in strict compliance with applicable statutory laws and third-party rights.

2.1 Personal and Non-Commercial Use Only

VideoDropper is engineered exclusively for personal, private, and non-commercial utility. You may download media files for offline viewing, private study, backup, or personal archival purposes. You may not commercialize, resell, license, or monetize downloaded media or exploit our service for advertising campaigns without express authorization from the copyright holder.

2.2 Respect Intellectual Property Rights

All photographs, videos, audio tracks, and artistic compositions published on Instagram remain the exclusive intellectual property of their original creators. Downloading content through VideoDropper does not convey or transfer any copyright ownership, licensing rights, or commercial permissions to you. You are solely responsible for respecting creators' copyright and complying with fair use standards. If you believe your copyrighted content has been processed without authorization, refer to our DMCA Takedown Policy.

2.3 No Account Credentials Required

VideoDropper will never request your Instagram username, password, login credentials, or two-factor security codes. Our tools operate solely on publicly available URLs. You agree not to attempt to access private Instagram profiles, bypass Instagram's access restrictions, or employ our Service to circumvent authentication barriers.

2.4 Compliance with Applicable Laws

You assume sole legal liability for verifying that your use of VideoDropper conforms to the laws and data regulations of your jurisdiction, including intellectual property laws, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

3. Prohibited Actions

To safeguard server reliability, legal integrity, and accessibility for all users, the following behaviors are strictly forbidden:

No Automated Bulk Scraping

You may not use bots, scrapers, automated scripts, crawlers, or high-frequency query tools to request downloads in bulk. VideoDropper is designed exclusively for manual human interactions.

No Commercial Resale or API Bundling

You may not sublicense, repackage, resell, or integrate VideoDropper's backend endpoints into third-party commercial applications, services, or paid subscriptions.

No Reverse Engineering

You may not decompile, reverse engineer, probe server vulnerability, or attempt to extract the underlying source code, algorithms, or infrastructure of VideoDropper.

No Malicious or Harassing Use

You may not download or utilize media for cyberbullying, stalking, extortion, identity theft, defamation, or any action that infringes upon the personal rights or privacy of individuals.

4. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

4.1 Service Provided "As Is"

VideoDropper is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, timely, or immune to third-party API changes implemented by Instagram or Meta. Your use of the Service is conducted strictly at your own risk.

4.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VideoDropper, its creators, operators, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of profits, data corruption, hardware damage, or reputation loss—arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed one hundred US dollars ($100.00 USD).

4.3 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VideoDropper, its operators, officers, and contributors from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and legal expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) resulting from your violation of these Terms, infringement of intellectual property, or improper usage of downloaded media.

5. Additional Legal Terms

5.1 Service Termination & Access Restrictions

We retain the right to restrict, block, or permanently terminate access to VideoDropper for any user or IP address exhibiting malicious behavior, automated abuse, or violation of these Terms, without prior warning or liability.

5.2 Advertising Disclosure

To sustain our free public downloading infrastructure, VideoDropper may display non-intrusive advertisements supplied by reputable third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense). We do not endorse any third-party products advertised, and your interactions with advertising sponsors are subject exclusively to their respective terms and privacy policies. Users agree not to engage in fraudulent click behavior or manipulate advertising scripts.

5.3 Severability & Enforceability

If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that specific provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and all remaining provisions shall persist in full legal force and effect.

5.4 Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VideoDropper concerning your access to and use of our Service, superseding all prior oral or written understandings.
